Drawing on the tradition of the Academic Salon of 18th Century Paris, ESD Gallery is compiling a Salon show for contemporary times. Bringing together artists working in a variety of disciplines, but conceding to the Academic ‘genre’ structure, work will be divided into the categories of still life, landscape and portraiture. Traditionally, the Salon created a space for discourse, reflection and appreciation of the work of emerging artists… we strive to do the same.
